sedation dentistry is very attractive to different groups of patients. Unfortunately, in our profession we meet a lot of people who carry a great deal of anxiety about coming in and using our services and it's not because they don't value our services it's just they have so much fear wrapped around the process or past experiences with sedation dentistry allows us to do is to gain their confidence and meet their needs and take care of their, their oral health, in a way that eliminates or dramatically reduces that that anxiety, and so they can come in and get these needs done incrementally, or maybe get them all done at once and be relaxed about it and let go, that anxiety because that's what sedation dentistry really is it's not sleep dentistry. Our goals are not to have our patients go to sleep, although sometimes they do. Our goal is just to level their lower their level of anxieties so that they can relax and just let us work and help them out, and that's one group of people another group of people don't have that level of anxiety, maybe they have a little bit of anxiety, and so they just want to get it all done, and staying in the chair all day long, although in our practice, we do a lot of that because we do a lot of full mouth reconstructions. Now a lot of big cosmetic cases, but sometimes you have a patient just wants to get a lot of fillings done, and they just want to get it done now their lives and move on, and they're not afraid of the process, but they want to be comfortable in the chair all day long, and with sedation dentistry, we can help them just relax and, and, although they don't go to sleep there is an amnesic aspect to it so that they forget about a lot of what happened during the course of the day, and they get all their fillings and then maybe a couple crowns done and be done with that and leave the office, comfortable and happy knowing that they've they're healthier.
