I'd love to talk to you about Invisalign because I was Invisalign patient myself, so I experienced the process and, and like most adults. I didn't want to have braces. And that sounds kind of funny coming from a dentist, but you know I thought well here's this Invisalign I really don't want to deal with all the traumas that, you know, regular braces can can cause such as the discomfort with the tightening and the inability to properly clean with flossing I wanted to be able to use the, you know, the trays to my advantage that if every once in a while, I just wanted to be comfortable and take them out for a second and get my teeth a break, you can do that Invisalign, you can't do that with braces. With Invisalign you keep the aligners in your mouth 21 hours during the day. Okay, you need that force on your teeth for 21 hours a day, and your teeth will move. Okay. And you can take them out if you have a special social engagement, you can take them out to brush and floss. And you can live a little bit more of a normal life during that process. And so that was very attractive to me as a patient, and as a clinician, I love Invisalign, because it will help me design cosmetic cases in such a way that allows me to, to treat the patient in a less invasive manner. So for instance when you're doing a smile when cosmetic dentistry first started, you know, people were focused on the front six teeth, you know, as we grew to understand the smile design and the facial dynamics we realize that a lot of times if you just do the front six teeth you have these six headlights and then the smell collapses as you move back into these dark corridors, and so we started to do more veneers moving backwards so we moved from six to eight to 10 teeth, and that was doing a lot of dentistry and you're treating more teeth and we will actually want to treat fewer teeth because that's healthier for the patient. With Invisalign allows us to do is to actually not do veneers and then bring those back teeth out laterally to fill the smile with the patient's natural dentition, so we can fill in those spaces to eliminate those dark corners and have a really full smile from corner to corner and also if we if they're not the right color we can whiten them. So a combination of whitening teeth and using Invisalign allows us to really help enhance a smile, and doing less dentistry and being less invasive in the process of building a beautiful smile.
