About Dr R. Douglas Campbell & San Diego Cosmetic Dentistry
Dr. R. Douglas Campbell has practiced general and esthetic dentistry since his graduation from the University of Florida Dental School in 1988. From 1988 through 1991, Dr. Campbell served on active duty as a dentist for the US Navy, which included a medical internship at San Diego's Balboa Hospital.
In 1996 Dr. Campbell established a dental practice in southeastern San Diego County in the growing community of Eastlake, where he gained recognition for providing high quality dentistry resulting in excellent patient satisfaction. Dr. Campbell ensures that his patients benefit from the latest advances in the field of dentistry through his use of state-of-the-art dental technology, and his strong desire for continually advancing his education.
His extensive training includes work in occlusion, function and esthetics, as well as working with Invisalign®, Lumineers® and Cerec®. In 1995, when he was awarded Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry, Dr. Campbell made the decision that he would study only under the mentorship of the finest clinicians in the world, a decision that ultimately resulted in partnering with Dr. Larry Addleson at The Art of Dentistry, beginning in spring 2007.
Born in Philadelphia, Dr. Campbell currently resides in Coronado with his wife Mia and their son Sean. His interests include traveling, snow skiing, water skiing, wakeboarding, SCUBA diving, and photography.
